THE BIOGRAPHY OF BEN WESLEY FLUKER

Ben Wesley Fluker was born June 15, 1957 to Ann and Willie C Fluker in Las Vegas, NV.

At the very start of his life his mom knew that Ben was different than the rest of her children. He was a very big boy at 10 pounds 9 ounces.

Ben was raised in a family with eleven other siblings. He was #4. Growing up in Las Vegas afforded Ben the opportunity to work in several areas in the hospitality industry, including bartender, casino dealer and pit boss. During his tenure in the hotel industry Ben also dabbled with acting and modeling. Ben become a member of the Screen Actors Guild in 1993. He appeared in such films as “Indecent Proposal” and “Lucky You.”

It was then that Ben also took up martial arts studies with several grandmasters and received his black belt in 1985. Ben’s family has always been a priority in his life. His son Deshone arrived on the scene when Ben was 16 years old, so Ben had to grow up fast. Ben Jr. made his debut a few years later. Ben’s dad died of cancer and Ben helped his mom take care of the younger siblings.

Singing was a big part of Ben's life too. So was football. Ben did tryouts for the Bakersfield Blitz to obtain footage for the SF 49ers Ben trained hard and ran the 40-yard dash in a sizzling 4.3 seconds. Unfortunately, Ben was once found himself playing on an unsafe field with many unseen potholes and he broke his femur in two places ending a promising football career.

When life gave Ben lemons though, he always made lemonade. Ben Fluker transitioned to become an elite trainer with the International Sports Science Association, the ISAA. He worked hard as a trainer teaching his clients about nutrition, exercise, and mental awareness. Ben did even more training and became a certified in nutrition, exercise therapy, and senior care. Ben then met the love of his life, Renee Grandieri in 2005. In 2013, after an 8-year courtship, Ben and Renee were married in Napa Valley California. Ben waited for the right girl before he chose a wife and today Renee is his soul mate forever. With her zest for life, Renee has added fun, adventure and never a dull moment to Ben’s life. Together they have traveled throughout the US and Hawaiian Islands, Mexico, Canada and the Caribbean.

As time progressed, reality shows like America's Got Talent, the voice , and the granddaddy of them all Simon Cowell’s X-FACTOR all came calling for Ben. The couple drove to Los Angeles for additions. There were 24,000 hopeful applicants. Ben, with his 2nd tenor and baritone extensions voice emerged as the one of the finalists.

When Ben and Renee returned home from LA, he found out that he needed sinus surgery as only one sinus was open and of course, working to sing with one sinus is almost impossible.

After the surgery, Ben and Renee moved to Pahrump, NV in 2018. Pahrump was originally a property investment for the future, but they fell in love with the community and its people and decided to make the move from Las Vegas then and there.

Renee was born in New York City and Ben worried it might be too extreme for her in Pahrump. Adaptable, Renee took to Pahrump like a fish to water. In the summer of 2019 Renee entered Ben in a contest called the Hunk of Pahrump. It was a fun evening and Ben took away the winning crown and title, “The Hunk of Pahrump.” The contest led Ben to join Twilight Productions. They did a lot of charity work throughout Nevada, performing in local community event in Las Vegas and around the state. COVID-19 unfortunately halted all live performances in 2020.
